Fire Force (Japanese: 炎炎ノ消防隊, Hepburn: Enen no Shouboutai, lit. “Blazing Fire Brigade”) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since September 2015, and collected into 26 tankōbon volumes as of November 2020. In North America, the manga has been licensed for English language release by Kodansha USA. Still reeling from the childhood trauma of losing his family to a blaze, Shinra Kusakabe endures both the blessing and curse of being a third-generation pyrokinetic: a person gifted with the ability to freely control fire. Meanwhile, the Infernals—first-generation pyrokinetics who spontaneously combust into flaming, demonic creatures—ravage the streets of Tokyo. After he is recognized for his abilities, Sh
